About the Event

We're delighted to welcome Deborah for her first Spoon Hoolie, and this is a fantastic opportunity to spend more time learning from her. Here's what she says about the workshop:

With efficient and safe axing, participants will focus on setting the crank, planes and profiles at an early stage. We will learn how to be confident to draw without a template to enhance perception of the wood, and form, and to learn about  symmetry and asymmetry. We'll examine the best ways for close axing to the line ('drawing with the  axe') and the best knife holds for a small spoon. We will progress towards finishing cuts, burnishing and oiling.
