About the Event

If you want to learn traditional skills, use your hands, and create something wonderful, this one-day introduction to blacksmithing is for you! We'll use a charcoal-powered forge (using charcoal we make on site) and handmade and handpowered bellows to create the heat we need, and you'll learn some some basic techniques. Throughout the day, you'll make a poker and a hook, which you'll get to take away with you, along with the skills you've learned.

Workshop programme You'll arrive on site by 10am, and be directed to our workshop. From there, one of our experienced trainers will lead you through the workshop. All wood and tools are provided. The day finishes by 4pm. Please bring food for the day with you; you are welcome to cook over the campfire. Tea and coffee are provided throughout the day.

Cancellation policy We do have to cancel events from time to time, usually for safety reasons in bad weather or when there is a weather warning.
