WELCOME TO THE GREAT SCOTTISH SPOON HOOLIE
We're heading for our fourth year! The Great Scottish Spoon Hoolie is the first and only spoon carving event in Scotland. Over a weekend in the woods, you'll learn from expert trainers and join a community of like-minded crafters, at all stages of their spooning journey. If you're interested in developing a new skill - or taking your spoons to the next level - then you'll want to be part of this very special event!
Learn from trainers from across Europe
And other objects with like-minded enthusiasts
Become a part of the best wood-crafting community around
It was small. It was inclusive - I felt part of it not just an attendee. I learnt loads. I met some lovely people. Excellent value for money and who doesn’t love a fairy dragon for a barman!
What will I do at the Hoolie?
There's a full programme of workshops over the weekend, offered by our fantastic range of trainers. We've got courses aimed at all levels and experiences, from absolute beginners to those with more advanced skills. Workshops last around 2 hours, meaning you can fit in a lot over the weekend! Apart from that, there's plenty of time to learn from others and meet a whole host of characters, including our resident bar-dragon!
Who will I meet?
Apart from the crazy organisers, you'll have the opportunity to take part in workshops with spoon experts from across Europe. And you'll spend the weekend mixing with like-minded spooners, old and young, experts and beginners, Scottish and not. We're determined to keep our event open to all, but small enough to chat to most folk around the campfire.
What does the price include?
Your ticket includes entry to the weekend event, starting with a Friday-night social. It also gives you free access to up to three weekend workshops with our expert trainers - there's no need to pay any extra (although tips are always welcome!). And you can camp for free on our site. As well as all that, you can say you've become part of the Great Scottish Spoon Hoolie family!
Where do I sign up?
Initial spaces are for those people who are holding tickets for the rescheduled 2020 event.
However, as we head nearer to May 2021, we *might* just release a few more tickets. Watch this space!
